the world of blogging seems to get bigger and bigger. i must admit, i am hooked on the concept but i don't always have something to write. but when i do, i have several personal blogs i can write in, depending on what it is i want to talk about.

anyways, i came across this guy's blog which is dedicated to writing better blogs and making your blog more interesting and readable so it will attract more traffic. if you enjoy blogging or are just thinking about it, take a look at this site.

43 things

43 things (and subsequent 43 places, 43 people, etc) is a very interesting site. and i'm not sure i fully understand it yet. i did sign up for an account, which is free, so i'll learn more about it and how to use it over time.

basically you list your goals (up to 43, i guess) and your goals are included in a listing of everyone else's goals and desires. you can post entries under each one of your goals or add comments to other's. although it's not stated, one of the benefits of the site is to have your goals written down and then continously working on them.

i never knew you could buy these on-line. i thought all antenna balls were sold in either gas stations or walmart. too bad my car doesn't have an outside antenna.

They're on the international high IQ society's site. who are they? not really sure, but the puzzles are fun and challenging. they also have a trivia test and other interesting information. take some time to browse through their site.

stuff on my cat

this is one of those sites you need to check every day just to see the newest picture.

this site takes submissions of pictures of "stuff" (and that term is used loosely) on their cat. i don't know how many submissions they get on a daily basis but most pictures are pretty creative. check it out.

big brother all-stars

go here to vote for your favorites to be the lucky ones to play in big brother all-stars. there are 20 candidates in which 6 will be picked by the votes collected on cbs.com. the other 6 will be picked by the producers. voting will be open until midnight of june 28th.

big brother 7 will start airing july 6th ad will be seen on tuesday, thursday, and sunday nights. if you want more information or just can't get enough of big brother, you can check out cbs.com which has a link to this featured show, but there are a lot of forums and message boards on the net. big brother updates is a good one.

did you know that there is an international webloggers day? yep. and it's today, June 14th. today is the 3rd annual inweday and i found this blog site being used as a central site in celebration of this day. i am unsure if this is the official site but it includes forums and a participation sign-up.

every heard of the game EVERQUEST II? i hadn't, but heard about the sony online entertainment creators donating money to the ALS association in accordance with anyone who can beat curt schilling (the boston red sox pitcher) schilling will appear as a villainous character on the on-line game and this challenge is only going on while the red sox are playing the yankees, which will be until june 7th

this is one i've known about since last summer, when it was in beta testing. this virtual disney world is fun because of the games/rides/challenges, the fact that you get to make your own character and buy items for that character or your "room", and watching the site designers change and add to their "disney world."

this interactive site is safe for kids of all ages, which is good for younger kids but also means us "older" folk can also have fun.

topless sandals

ok... i don't know if this is for real or a hoax, but it seems like it's on the up and up. the website looks legit but don't take my word for it... check it out for yourself.

acme label maker

make your own labels with acme label maker. you can change the font, change the color of the type and/or background, and change the look with the different effects.

frustrating, but addictive

yep... that's what it is. these are sites where you can draw or move items around, such as letters or mosaic tiles, in real time with other users on the site. what's frustrating is that when you try to build or draw something, someone will try to destroy it. and yet... i still try.

mosaic allows you to move little squares around in attempts to create form or shape mosaic style.

personally, my favorite is refrigerator letters. here you move the letters, which look like the old fashion refrigerator magnets, around to try to form words. here i always like to foil the attempts of others... especially when they try to spell out profane words.

if anyone knows of any other sites like these, i'd love to hear about them.

guess the google

guess-the-google is a simple game where the player is shown a montage of images that match up with a google keyword. all you have to do is guess that keyword. sound easy? you better give it a try before you think that.

the human clock

the humanclock site shows a picture of the current time, with the photo changing every minute of every day.

it's not really useful but fun to look at the pictures. some are very creative. the site uses photos that ordinary people send in. so if you think you have an original idea for a picture, take it and send it in. you can see many examples in the site's gallery.

scary skwerls

not all sites are useful, fun, or cool. i came across one that i think is, well... stupid. but i'm sure there's people out there who enjoy it and maybe even get something from it.

yep, it's all about squirrels... or as they like to say, skwerls. this site has everything you would want to know (and more) about the pesky little critters. but there's some fun stuff, too. like a cool drawing feature where you can draw your own skwerl and then send it to their gallery.
